So I posted a few bits a while back about my sporting injury. The story isn’t over yet, I’m on a rehab plan right now, and the order of the day for the last 2 weeks is PRICE.
Protect, Rest, Ice, Compress, Elevate.
Ive been icing the foot up 2/3 times a day and believe me its harder than it sounds/looks.

Pretty Wings- Maxwell (BET's 2009)
So, if you’re in the UK, then you will be aware of the new talent show on BBC called ‘The Voice’.
During the audition stages of the show a guy comes on and does an awesome version of Ordinary People-John Legend
It took the nation by storm and there was a resurgence in sales and downloads of John Legends track and a new found interest in the ballad/love song genre.
I felt it was only right to drop another name into that equation, that being, Maxwell.
Maxwell is a RnB and Soul icon and has been on the scene for 2 decades.
The link is a performance from the 2009 BET Awards, that was just after the passing of another music icon Michael Jackson. This performance absolutely stole my attention as I flicked onto watch some of the award show.
Notable tracks I recommend to add to that iTunes library include, Bad Habit, This Woman’s Work and Lets Not Play The Game

This is a clip of the Matt Jam Lamont & Scott Diaz Classic Vocal Mix of EMKYU’s cover of the Roy Davis Jr classic ‘Gabrielle’. The track has crossed musical boundaries, becoming legendary over the years with it’s enduring vocal from Peven Everett and distinctive trumpet riff. EMKYU have done a fantastic job on this, staying true to the vibe of the original and recreating the vocal and trumpet parts with care and respect, honouring what is undoubtedly a musical masterpiece.
Scott Diaz and Matt Jam Lamont have taken the track in a direction that it’s never been before, chopping up the vocals and opting for a soulful US house flava that has bags of energy and bumps like the jams of the good old days.
This will be released on ATDA records in Summer of 2011. If you have any questions or enquiries about this track, please send us a message and we will happily pass it on to the label for you.
